Silly bracelet

Has any of you heard about rubber band bracelets? I guess this will be the newest hype! It are rubber bands, shaped in all thinkable forms and available in all kinds of neon colours. Without wearing them you’ll recognize the shape, but when wearing, it just looks like a weird (but cute) rubber bracelet.
It may sound a bit childish but since I’ve seen them around Stella McCartney’s show location in Paris is this my new must have accessory.
Every child in the US is begging for these, and the fad is spreading to middleschools, highschools, college campuses and have even been spotted on the arms of Hollywood divas. Silly Bands are more than just a fad. I got the T-shirt shaped variations yesterday at a presentation and now I want them in all kinds of fashionable shapes! Please let me know if you know a selling point around?

Two great loves

Located in the wonderful "Le Marais" district, in front of the national archives and close to the Picasso Museum in Paris you’ll find: Les ARCHIVES de la PRESSE
A bookstore that’s offering you a huge collection of Journals, Magazines and catalogs
I visited them because of their huge collection of fashion magazines.
From 1920 to 1999; you’ll find the largest titles like Journal des Demoiselles, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Excelsior,Jardins des Modes, Elles, l'Album du Figaro and Adam.
Two things I love come together. Vintage and magazines!

Happy 90th birthday Vogue!

The French Vogue is celebrating her 90th birthday this month. If you see the issue anywhere, you really should get one of these amazing copies with Duch covergirl Lara Stone on it. With this issue you’ll find an extra supplement (twice as big as the magazine) with several prints from famous photographers like: Craig McDean, Guy Bourdin, Steven Meisel and Patrick Demarchelier selected by Carine Roitfeld, the famous editor in chief herself.
I really like these anniversary issues of magazine’s!

La PhotoCabine

When I visited Paris last week, I’ve seen a great part of the city without seeing any daylight. You know what I mean; too discover a Paris you have to take the subway. And when under the ground I sometimes felt myself a kind of Amelie girl. You know that scene around the photocabine? I forgot to jump in a cabine myself but now I just discovered this photobooth website It seems like I’m back around charles de gaulle etoile metrostation again. It’s free and so funny to do. Or shall I say rire en masse!

Just another girl in Paris

A dream came true when I heard the news that I was able to attend Paris fashion week this year. I saw several shows, some seated, some frontrow and some in the nosebleed section. Some with and some without entree tickets. Discovered the nicest shops and restaurants. But most likely of it all, all the people on the streets looked like they loved fashion.
I’ll promise the write down the nicest addresses of clubs, restaurants and shops later on this week!

Belle Book

‘Saint Laurent likes two types of woman: dream woman and real woman’

After missing the amazing YSL exhibition at the petit palais in Paris I received a present. Four hundred pages full of fashion. Not so sad about missing the exhibition anymore. This beautiful book gives away hundreds of secret never showed pictures, prints and sketches. One thing for sure; Yves was a man with taste. The book is now for sale and in the end of this month I’ll be visiting Paris anyway ;)
